Compromise is always easy to do, but if results MUST be ensured to avoid the waste of failure, hard to accept.

Stating the way to factory expected results is very simple. OEM parts, factory procedures, factory specs verified.

For not much more time/money at all, enhance specifications throughout. (ie, if the piston balance spec is + or - 5 grams, balance them all to + or - 0.5 gram.) This attitude can transfer factory expected results into MUCH BETTER RESULTS.

Consider also, factory maintenance schedule=factory expected results. Enhanced maintenance schedule=MUCH BETTER RESULTS. Not just abscence of failure, but twice the life of many very expensive to replace parts.

Easy to say. And in my mind, not nearly as hard to do as coming up with the unexpected funds to re-fix ANYTHING.

If you don't have the time/money to do the job right the first time, where will you find the time/money to do it over?
