Subject: Another fuel tank option.

I replaced the rusted through tank on my '83 with one from a salvage yard. It was rust and dent free and since it was an original VW tank it fit like a glove. I paid $150 for it and it has functioned well for the 2 months it has been in (knock on wood). If you decide to go this route you need to keep in good contact with a salvage yard because the tanks go quick due to demand and strict EPA kind of stuff.
