Exactly what mine is like. A little gap on the tables, the stove cover. A little ripple on the AC cabinet. I often wondered, but had other stuff to deal with. But I planned on finding out one day.

I doubt it. My Westy has not been in much dry climate. I know a little of it's history. It was sold new at an Atlanta dealer, and shortly shipped to Europe. Kind of a roundabout way. I figure it was either a military family, or retired couple who planned on bringing it back to the US, and wanted no import hassle. It lived there for a couple of years, with regular service at UK and Deutsche dealers, and acquiring all these oval stickers with initials of Euro-countries. Then it made its way to the US somewhere, eventually being resold by a Wisconsin dealer. Then it lived in Alaska for a while before moving to New Orleans a year ago. Then I bought it. Not much dry weather in it's life.

Not likely.

Don't know but more experienced Westy owners might know.

Like stickers ? IMHO, you asked a valid question. There are probably more than two of us who wonder the same thing about their molding and will probably be just as disappointed at the final outcome.

With apologies to the sticker committee, Dave L. 89 Westy 87 Vanagon
