After many miles, my AFM had developed a dead spot (confirmed with Digitool). All of the black was worn away under the pickup.

I looked at it for a bit, scratched my head, and thunk.

I loosened the four screws holding down the circuit board, jammed a screwdriver between the board and the side of the AFM, and retightened the screws. The board didn't move much (maybe a couple mm), but it was just enough. Still running fine a couple months later. As confirmed by Digitool, there is no flat spot.
