Makes perfect sense... your trans could be slipping. Might be an easy fix (topping off with ATF) or a rough one (coming up with the $$$ for transmission work at the local shop). Try Option A and take the bus on the expressway. Should that work, you're cool; don't sweat the leak and just keep it topped up. Should that NOT work, BY ALL MEANS CHECK FOR EVERYTHING ELSE FIRST (dragging brakes, etc.) because trans work is a real pain.
