It is not BS. It is a single case of a set of 5 tires with which I have personal knowledge from specific inspection, followup and verification. I know it is only prudent to verify what you are buying before you buy it, now even with Michelin, due to empirical evidence on hand.

If you wish, I will ask the owner if he will allow me to give you his name and phone number so you can discuss it with him.

More and more in this neo-world of raw capitalism product brands are being downgraded, and once well earned reputations are being used to sell JUNK at windfall profits.

When I saw the problems with the young tires, and heard that the Michelin dealer would not honor the warrenty, I searced the web for Michelin. I picked Michelin off a dogpile.com reference and what poped up. UniRoyal USA. Then I got to check with some tire dealers and several confirmed to me, "Yes, UniRoyal is now making tires in the US with Michelin logo, and we won't carry them anymore because of the problems."

Why did I expend so much effort to get the facts? Because this is a good repeat client and when he needed tires, he asked for my opinion and I told him, "Look for the Michelin name and know you are buying good value." T.P. Stephens San Juan Island, WA
