Does the shifter lever make noises in All gears or just 3rd or 4th???? Many times the shifter is just telescoping an internal iminent failure such as the 3/4 slider hub cracking. Movement of the shifter will put pressure on a fork and create some clearance causing the noise to go away. Many that make that type of noise are actually grinding away at a case or other component whilst making the noise. Fixing it sooner will cause less headaches for the rebuilder. >2) Shift lever making noise for a few days. Sounds like computer >hard drive >when reading a big file. Small up or down pressure on lever makes >noise >go away. Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA. (425)788-4070 1-877-377-0773 toll free aatransaxle.com (web site)
