Well, friends, I have finally decided to do what so many of you have done before me, buy a Westfalia out of state and go to retrieve it. So I'm going to Kansas! I know it sounds funny and today is Friday, but it's no joke. (not yet, anyway). I bought a 1980 Westfalia on e-bay for 680.00! The engine is blown, so I am driving to St. John, Kansas in my Westfalia to tow it to Denver where I will put a good engine in it. Does anyone in or from Kansas know the flattest part? I want to avoid any hilly areas for the most level route to Denver. Could there even be a listmember in Kansas? There must be, the have Vanagons there.( OK, but with blown motors!) It will be a brown 82 Westy towing a blue 80 Westy (Niagara blue). As always, I will let you know if I have major trouble. Have a great weekend everyone!
