I understand what you are saying, But, that little flame whether lit or not and getting "t-boned" directly in the propane tank area forcing a break in the tank (not likely), a valve breaking, or the copper tubing cracking(most likely) and causing an explosion are just as equal as blowing up the petrol tank itself. I feel that people have some irrational worries here. There are cars in major cities that "run" on propane right now, some buses too. Think about it.
