Hi, My Dad and I went as we had never been to a VW car show. We came in the White 87' Westy that we left in the parking lot. We have been to many British car events over the years as we have eight Triumphs in the family. I was disappointed in this one. It cost $15 a person to get in and not a single Vanagon inside. I couldn't even find a Vanagon part in the swap meet area. We asked if admission would be close to the same to "show" the van but were told it was much less to get in on foot. Sure, the Bikini girls were nice looking but we came to look and talk Vanagons and maybe see a Shady Boy awning first hand. I thought it was interesting to see how much money people were putting into what was supposed to be one of the most affordable cars ever made. Maybe Triumph owners are just cheap.

I am more interested in shows that are not all about money. Are the VW shows like that in other parts of the Country?

Cheers, Kevin Dawson 87' Wolfie !/2 Camper
