My 84 westy still has this intermittent cut-out problem although it isn't as bad as it used to be. It seems to happen mostly at low throttle settings like 2200 rpm in third on a level road when it is just keeping Smoky rolling along. Sometimes it will cut out while idling - usually just as the light turns green. The problem is unpredictable. Never know when it will happen and have so far been unable to make it happen. Maintenance so far: replaced the fuel filter replaced plugs tested leads checked distributor rotor and cap replaced the ignition switch had the engine cleaned found and replaced a broken wire on the hall pickup replaced a couple of suspicious hoses very carefully adjusted the throttle switches cleaned all the ground straps to the engine swapped computers replaced the air flow meter and tuned engine (C$750 8<O ) What else could be causing this irritating problem?
