Hello List, I now have piled on a little over a 1000 miles on my 87 wolfsburg Edition in less than a month and i have a squeal coming from the PS belt. It has worked itself loose and i no longer can tighten it as i have adjusted the bolts on the PS pulley as far as they will go. Now the belt is stretched beyond it's max? Is there a way to put on a new belt/ adjust the old one w/o draining the coolant? A coolant hose goes right through the middle of the belt and, i am guessing that draining it is the only way to do it. I am not able to dispose of coolant properly and i guess i would have to bring it to the dealer because i trust almost noone other than my buddy to work on it(he is away til next week) Anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance, Paul ibuyvws@aol.com 87 wolfsburg edition 65 21 window deluxe bus 71 squareback automatic |
