Well, due to a number of events that have taken on a life of their own I am Westyless. I have temporarily replaced my 80 Westy with a 1973 GMC classic. (http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/7409/gmc.html). It kind of looks like the big brother to a split window. So with regrets I sign off this wonderful list which has made these past three years of westy ownership very enjoyable and easy. My Westy never let me down, gave me great memories, was virtually trouble free, easy to work on when need be, and had a certain feel and smell about it that my kids and I will always remember. My plan is to use this GMC for a little while, then sell and get a syncro-westy ( or at least one with a/c and heat - my family is a little picky). So if you see a big yellow RV cruising down the road waving, it's only me. And if a Sara & Demian show up on this list, please welcome them in as I was. They are good people. Thanks again.
