I recenlty installed a system in my '83 westy. I put 4" MB Quart speakers in the rear cabinet (no a/c) and 5 1/2" MB Quarts in the door. There is a cutout in the lower front portion of the front doors that will take a larger speaker. A spacer may be neccessary to let the magnet clear the hinge. I installed a Pioneer head unit with cassette (for books on tape) and wireless remote and finished the system with a Pioneer 6-disc changer mounted behind the passenger seat battery compartment. After a month long trip to Florida this system has shown no flaws and the location of the cd changer has not been an inconvienence in any way. Hope this helps. Nate Richmond '83 Westy Cary, NC |
