Hi Guys !

Well I guess that those of you who lives in the southern parts of US - and below - might have a larger problem than we have here in Sweden with temp. that more seldom passes 35 degrees C ( 95F) but the sun still have a tendency to cook whateverīs in the Vanagon ! So... I did put self adhesive limotint on my Vanagon wich made a BIG difference - look and feel is coooool ! But if it would have been just for the heat, and if the van hadnīt been dark green I might have chosen the reflective "aluminum" colored instead, much more efficient - used by the police canine patrol - with no lookthrough possibility from the outside at all !! But with dark green.........NAH But for you guys with Westy cabinets in front of the windows ( and for those of us who want to have "new" Vanagons every now and then ) there is a company in Sweden that has a business idea that might be worth trying ! They precut ...well, my dictionary dont have it, in swedish itīs called "plexiglass" might be the same in english :) ...and tint it . Then you fasten it with small clips on the inside rubber seal, get the extra isulation of a double window too and the option of removing it whenever you donīt want it or when you swap car..... The drawback is the cost, the factory made are 200 $ US and the selfadhesive is 20$ ....... But maybe you could find someone whoīre willing to make a "list offering" :-) My next step is to paint the roof white, is supposed to make a big difference on a dark car .......

Cheers
