I recenlty installed a system in my '83 westy. I put 4" MB Quart speakers in the rear cabinet (no a/c) and 5 1/2" MB Quarts in the door. There is a cutout in the lower front portion of the front doors that will take a larger speaker. A spacer may be neccessary to let the magnet clear the hinge. I installed a Pioneer head unit with cassette (for books on tape) and wireless remote and finished the system with a Pioneer 6-disc changer mounted behind the passenger seat battery compartment. After a month long trip to Florida this system has shown no flaws and the location of the cd changer has not been an inconvienence in any way. Hope this helps.
