DO you smell gas? Then yes, you have a leak. The bozo who told you that those tubes only carry fumes.... doesn't own a Vanagon. They may have been designed for fumes only but when the hose gets compromised, it is a common source of leaks. The job is not fun, not technically hard, and not unimportant. Figure out from Mr. Wilfey or one of the other vendors what you need to replace all of the hoses under there and do it all at once. If you are really conscientious, you'll have the tank cleaned at the same time. I have not found this necessary as of yet, but knock on wood.

Go on tour? Only if you like the idea of putting like 7 gallons max in your tank. Makes for lots of stops and keeps you outa the Nevada/Utah desert. *G*
