Chris, I once had the same problem with the clutch on an 1980 westy I had.My clutch pedal was stuck in the up position. Thinking that the clutch disc was somehow binding and not moving at all,I took the trans out at least twice to try to see what I could see. In the end the problem turned out to be that the splines on both the pivot shaft(Throw out) and the little arm with the ball end that attaches to it, were rounded off. The arm had rotated forward in the arc of its possible travel and that's as far as it would go.With the slave cylinder taking up the difference, there was nowhere for the pedal to go. The only difference is that I could not shift between any gears. Tom Czerniak
