ISTM that using heat exchangers on the exhaust and using either air or water/antifreeze as a working fluid would be the way to go. Prolly have to hang a centrifugal pump off the engine somewhere if you go the water route, though a similar electric pump might be easier to place (lots more $$$, though, I bet). I think you'd need to use air (or liquid sodium maybe) as the first stage because it doesn't want to boil when it gets to 500 degrees or whatever.
