Back in the '80s (and maybe '70s) I ran Vredestein snow tires on my Vanagon (and maybe '76 before that.) They were the "best" snow tire available then.

I was told at some point that someone like Michelin was buying them. Then all-season tires came along and other options and I haven't seen them around, but I even might still have an old pair on rims that I haven't used for a few years.

Anyway, they were good tires when I was buying them!
