I got another cool accessory for the Westy last night for my birthday. It's a Martin Backpacker Guitar --- I've been lusting after it since I first played one last fall. It's about 32" long and 6 " wide at its widest. Weighs a little over 2 pounds and plays like the real thing --- though not as loud of course. It's an ideal alternative to carrying my full-size D-18. Takes up so much less room in the van ---- isn't the magnet for knowledgeable thieves that the real thing is ----comes in a nice little gig bag for toting to the beach or in the canoe. All you guitar pickers on the list can check it out at http://www.balticcoast.com/backpacker.html . They list at 254 USD but have been going consistently at about 120 USD on e-bay as of late.

And if indeed "music hath charms to sooth the savage beast" then it'll take care of those pesky critters too!!

Happy Friday to all!!
