Hi all volks, Well I haven't contributed lately (contributed actually is a misnomer) asked any questions lately, is the actual truth. But have been reading all the threads vigorously as usual. I drove my 89 Westy for the first time yesterday and will be finalizing the deal next Tues. Wow, this guy has fixed or replaced everything mechanically. (well almost) New motor, tie rods, fuel hoses, coolant hoses, exhaust, CV's brakes, rotors, etc., etc. and ALL receipts too. It runs great. Hubby checked it out all over. Looks pretty good too, (got a couple of dings in bumper and a slight scrape on passenger side) interior is good. But........get ready, because you all are probably gonna get sick of me and my questions in the next couple of months. I'm toughening my skin up already :o) Want to thank all the list members again for their expertise and help with the 84 and a special thanks to Chuck Hill in Iowa. First Questions: 1. Anybody have 2 used hub caps for sale? (plastic stock VW) 2. Anyone have a used bra for a 1989? 3 Did this model have heated mirrors or something? I've got 4 holes with screws in them below the mirror on each door in a square box pattern and trying to figure out what is "supposed" to be there. Again, great to be back and can't wait for my stickers to come!! Katy Abbas NE Iowa 89 Westy "Jezebel" |
