I spent about 35 minutes last night installing the "HELLA" rain sensor in my beloved 85 crewcab last night.Of all electrical accessories I've installed (and I,ve installed a lot)from cruise to power windows ,door locks ,alarms auto headlight systems ,well you get the idea. This was by far the easist accessory ever.Mount the sensor, run the wire and replace the relay and hope for rain. I bought it from the vendor that was mentioned on this list. The part was reasonably priced and even with shipping from CANADA ,I believe I could not have bought it cheaper here in the states The only way it could be improved is if it pulsed the squirters .This is the exact same system they use on BMW and MB'S .I know for sure because I saved one of the sensors which mount to the glass and is exactly the same. If anyone has any idea how it works ,I have an idea but I'd love to hear yours, W/regards VWCREWMAN |
