Though, I think a throttle cable is as hard to modify as futsing with the potentimeter... The wiring issues are a pain in the neck on the TDI especially if you want to keep the built in cruise control. This is mostly complicated by the fact that the yard that pulled my engine kind of clipped off some of the connectors (which I think were important) and they failed to give me all the parts.
