I'm going to do this 3 weeks from now when CDN Tire's 1 amp hour solar panel goes on sale for CDN$150. I'll tie it into the aux battery for my trip to Egypt to help run the fridge on DC all say long when parked. If anyone is reading this, Will a 1 amp hour solar panel run the van's gas engine with a dead primary battery (on a sunny day of course!)? Not start the engine, but if jump started, will the solar panel keep the plugs firing?? FWIW, I have points and condenser and carb on my 91.
