I found that after adjusting the nut, the mirror was still floppy, The problem was that the hex shaft that the nut was on was pulling out of the plastic housing. The more you tightened the nut, the more it pulled out! I knocked it back in and drilled a 3 mm hole through the plastic ensuring that I caught the hex shaft and put metal pin in the hole. This is bearly visible and stops the shaft from pulling out.
