I have had too many failures in the past reusing these clamps. They are fine for new parts, but pitting, etc., on old parts can lead to leaks, and non-OEM hoses may not compress the same way OEM hoses do. Once in a while I have slight leaks when I first install new hoses, but I'd rather under tighten and adjust later than over tighten and cut the hose. If a spring clamp leaks you are SOL. Better safe than sorry IMHO.
