No, a couple of us went to the Walpack Inn the Delaware Water Gap (sorry, I have no idea how to get there...the Joisy contingent was leading over the backroads). Fantastic country inn with roaring fireplace and an awesome view of NJ backcountry (didn't know there was such a thing)...I swear the rolling valleys looked like Vermont.

> Looks like a Volvo converted to a loaf bus

Not converted, but they leaned a bus nose up to it. Cute touch.

> a Corvair van with a Westy side tent (Don't tell Ralph Nader)

The Corvair Greenbriers with their interesting pop-ups are usually there. We hope to see some at Busses by the Trail.

> There's a nice two tone brown Vanagon with the jalousie windows

That would be Ray and Ella Hoerning <rhoerning@home.com> 's van. Ray, Ken & Helen Swan, and Frank & Janet Parsick (of which only Ray is on-line) have all done this conversion. I'm not sure if a write-up exists, but I know one of the guys did it first, then they made a change to the installation process, etc. I believe the jalousy windows are smaller than the Vanagon opening and you need to make a skirt of sorts.

No way...it was 40°F overnight...glad we had our new sleeping bag. Most folks were hanging out by the fire trying to get warm and dry.

> I also like the three window canvas on the same bus.

Ray just installed that. It's a Bus Depot 3-window canvas. Ray sez that the top did not have the bead required for the later model poptop and it was really too long, so they sewed a piece of string in there at the right place. Also, the fabric seems to be canvas, not the Sunbrella. Perhaps Ron can comment.

I bought the same canvas, but haven't installed yet. Mine says Sunbrella and has a bead in the top. BTW, not only do they have 3 windows, but also two

zipper pulls on the front and side openings. That's really nice because you can open it just a little on the top rather than having to unzip just a corner. Being able to open just a sliver is great in the rain.
