Subject: site for diagnostic device?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi, I recall some earlier discussion on a type of diagnostic device that one can plug in line, and read diagnostic codes as you are driving along. I understand that it helps to detect intermittent problems. I have had a very infrequent stalling and delayed restart problem, that compelled the previous owner of my 86 vanagon to replace just about every electrical part on the engine except the fuel injection system.

Any opinions on where I can find one of these and whether it is a worthwhile testing tool would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jeff Hartman Juneau, Alaska
