I have an old hot rod with ceramic-coated headers. They were new headers which I had either sandblasted or glass-bead blasted & then ceramic coated...which I think is a form of plating. They are glossy grey-silver in color & are coated inside & outside the pipe. Because the pipes are sealed thru this process, the pipes run cooler. They have been performing flawlessly for a few years now. I had them done in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at Top Gun Coatings. Sorry that I cant recall the exact specifics but I do know that most performance speed shops will know of a source. If I'm not mistaken, it was quite in-expensive .
