A company in California called Quickn Easy makes such a rack. You can buy their cam locking gutter brackets for about $45 for a set of 4 and then either add your own 1x2" or 2x4" beams to suit your load needs. They also sell an ash bar that has grooves routered inside for adjusting to different width roofs. The also have a galvanized metal bar arrangement available but not sure of the price of either. Brackets only can be ordered from John Sweet in Mustoe VA 540-468-2222 or your local canoe and kayak shop may stock them. If you're in New England, www.madrivercanoe.com I believe also sells them, just check out the Voyaguer line of accessories. Think of them as first generation Yakimas without the trendy price tag. The 20 dollar racks that Sears et al sell I wouldn't trust hauling anything. when you think about the potential liability of having something blow off the top of your vehicle and go through someone's windshield........ well, enough said.
