Okay, I realize that I should search the archives first, but in the short time that I've been here, there've been quite a few different discussions about idle problems. I'm dubious about my chances of finding the right answer, so I thought I would ask here instead.

My '87 Westy starts up beautifully every time (so far!) and idles at about 900 RPMs. After I've driven a short ways, 5 or 10 minutes, the idle moves up to about 1800 RPMs when I stop and put the transmission in Park. Mileage is about 17 MPG if this matters. Any ideas why the idle would jump up so much when warm?

Thanks all, Marc Perdue '87 Westy
