After exploring the list for a few weeks and visiting every VW related URL
the list has produced I haven't seen any information on what "I find" to be
a major reservation in the purchase of a VW Camper ... I'm looking at a '97
to '99 model year and so I'm looking at paying between $40,000 and
$55,000Cdn. I think that's a significant amount in most people's budgets!

Though I have been truly amazed not only at the dedication of the Westy
owners in this group but also the extraordinary mechanical skill and talent
displayed by their owners, I still find one issue un-addressed ... the lack
of on-board "toilet facilities".

Now I realize that the size of the pre LWB models does prove a possibly
unsurmountable "interior space" challenge for this type of installation but
I have seen it done by a German after market company in their "California
Exclusive", a LWB based model, <http://www.vwn.de/uk/leisure/index.html>.

I realize that many of you may find this a request for an unnecessary
luxury but hopefully some will commiserate with me ...

So my questions is ... Has anyone attempted to install "on-board toilet
facilities in a VW Camper? If so I would appreciate hearing about the
procedure, approach and challenges ...
