My recently acquired '87 Westfalia failed it's smog test because the converter no longer "converts." This is according to my smog technician. My engine is relatively new, but the converter is original.

I have ordered a new converter from Discount Converter.com. This is a direct-fit, not a universal, so it should bolt right in. It was $100.95 + shipping, and I should see it in several days.

I will post to the group as to how this works out. It appears to be a pretty good deal for a converter.
