WEll, I have an 87 and when we bought it the carpet was trashed and smelled! So I took it out. Never really found any replacement carpet until now. A fellow vanagon owner and club member, set me on to this carpet from Home Depot. It was a piece, just about the size of the middle. He had bought it for just $20 and placed it in the back, without the middle seat in. Which he usually uses for an extra love seat in teh house. WEll, I couldn't find any down here in my town so went to another store WEST Lumber, They sell carpet too. Found some for about $3.00 a foot. Very easly to cut, and matches the blue in the Van. WEll I took the pads out and cut to fit them. Got them in teh Van and they fit perfect. I do have a little trouble with the middle pieces when I slide the middle seat in and out. But looks great. Of course, this isn't the same as the stock carpet. But, since it is available out there(sorry I forgot where) we just didn't have $150 to fork out. By the way, my front has got the rubber whole mat, that I got from a local junk vanagon.
