Hey Marc,

Your procedure sounds perfect ---- it would light my stove anyway. You may indeed be out of propane. Fill your tank and try again. You might also benefit from cleaning out the passages leading to the burner ---- poke something flexible down as far as you can and swoosh it around ---- a little compressed air is good too. (I use the canned stuff available for computer/electronic cleaning since I don't have compressor). Let me know if you find out anything further about the mystery "key".
