Well, Mike and all, there were one or two Vanagons further in the swap meet area.

There were a few Westy's plus that pristine white double cab (none from the list nor were they interested in joining).

I ended-up staying later tahn planned. There were still deals to be made.

One fellow from Seattle offered to sell me used Vanagon bras. I wasn't on planning on buying one until he said the price. "3 for $10. Please get them off my hands." I happily gave him the ten spot. discovered that only two were for Vanagons. The third was for the 928 which I already sold. But hey, the price was right.

The same gent sold me a rear emblem for my BMW which normally cost $34 new. Nice used condition. $1.

Just across from him, another guy was getting ready to leave. He had a leather covered A2 steering wheel. I just bought one from eBay for $56. He offered it for $5. How could I possibly dicker with prices like that? SOLD!

Overall, the $15 price of admission was well worth the chance to meet old and new friends and make a couple of deals. The 90°+ heat, dust and everything else was easily overlooked by the end of the day.
