I painted mine last summer. I used a two part catalyzed polyurethane acrylic enamel from PPG. To prep the surface I cleaned it twice with ammonia solution and a Scotch Brite medium scuffing pad. Then I cleaned it with silicone removing solvents and painted it without a primer or sealer. You don't need a primer, and sealers are supposed to protect the solvents in the new paint from softening the old, but it wasn't needed in my case, so I saved the money. Hasn't been on long, but so far it has held up fine and looks great, and it should last longer than the original. I recommend that you do it. -- Stuart MacMillan Manager, Case Program 800-909-8244 ext. 8208 Fax: 206-269-6360
