Errm...I think you'll find that the *valve* was made by Marshall Brass -- the brass one such as you see here: http://pws.prserv.net/synergy/Vanagon/Autostop.gif can be rebuilt, the zinc ones can't. If it has white corrosion on it it's zinc.

You can buy the one in my picture for an outrageous price :) or you can have your friendly LP place put in a one and three-quarter-inch Acme fill valve, manual type, for a lot less. If you go that route you'll also need a manual bleed valve. Cost for the pair, likely less than $50.
