Aero Tec Labs (makers of ATL fuel cells) makes an 8 or 12 gallon round cell intended for the spare tire well of race cars.

http://www.atlfuelcells.com/ - Probably about $350 for the cell and another $100 for the metal can.

Plugola: if you don't subscribe to Grass Roots Motorsports, you should. It's a well produced, no-nonsense auto sports magazine - I've yet to see a Vanagon in there, but hey, who knows. www.grmotorsports.com.
