Thanks to all who wrote suggestions, ideas and advice concerning braindeath of 1.9 ECU. All were helpful in one way or another. Have two used ECUs arriving from out west. I wonder if there is a good way to test these units, when they arrive, besides popping them in my van and giving them a try. This is important in light of a possible open circut problem, which could burn-up another ECU, which, despite all pre-testing, can still happen, I guess. But it would be nice when at the point of firing-up the engine that the ECU had already tested out ok, so as to eliminate it as a cause of why the engine may not start. Is this possible? How?
