Subject: 91 vanagon not starting
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hey, this is Sharon Falvey visiting Ken Wyatt. My 91 westfalia is having selective intermittent starting problems. The silver streak(her newly acquired name-named for the gray hairs she adds to my head)starts most of the time but occasionally will not start. This failure to start does not appear to have any similar driving activity associated with it. The van did have an alarm system installed that was non functional had that completely removed yesterday. She continues to start now but, I am unsure if this fixed the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem ? Suggestions for elements to check - I will look at starter connections today. Oh, the other thing is the problem happened after replacing hoses on the tank. Something could be related there. Thanks in advance..
