I have just bought a 1985 Vanagon for parts - I am not 100% certain if it is a real weekender or not so let me describe it for you.

- 10/84 build date (1985 model year) - Brown in colour, brown interior with the fancyer trim on the dash, doors and panel work. Driver seat has the usual butt wear from getting in and out. - All glass is in good condition - Removeable forward facing seat that seats two people located behind the driver seat. - Full width fold down in to a bed rear seat. - BA-06 gas heater (works well) - 4 speed transmission (sold) - Body is in good shape with minor seam rust at the front door seam. - Tires are in good shape, although they are P195/74-14s (no LT tires). - Front and rear bumpers are in good shape and there is a trailer hitch (these may be sold already)

The engine is the weak spot of the Vanagon. There is a new head on the passanger side that was installed a few months ago along with new rings for the pistons on that side of the engine. The driver side head sprug a leak and the former owner said enough is enough (so now I have it). The engine runs great and it doesn't miss or consumes any large amount of oil, just consumes coolant. It needs a new left head to make it a decent motor.

I will have pictures of the van soon at Fast Forward's web site ( http://www.fastforward.ca ) as soon as I get the van home.

In the mean time, if there are any parts that you need, drop me an email and make me an offer!

Thanks!
