I think that you will find this to be very difficult. I just tried to remove mine recently and ended up having to use a sawzall down the throat of the sink drain in order to separate the drain from the P-trap. (The drain threads into the p-trap, and they become totally seized to each other).

Now I am searching for a replacement drain that will fit flush to the bottom of the Westy sink. (The cheapie I got from an RV shop doesn't fit flush)
