Subject: tire pressure
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" ; format="flowed"

In October, put Michelin MXT 205/70 R14 tires on my 85 Westy and have been pleased with them. When they were mounted, they put the pressure to match the sticker on the door, which was for the 185 size. Last evening, I noticed in the Haynes book that the recommended pressure for 205s is less than that for 185s. Any comments on this? It does make a little sense, lower pressure for bigger tires, no?

I also put new shocks on and with the new tires and new shocks, it really handles much better.

TIA, Jim in Atlanta
