Subject: Re: Freeze 12?

I have followed the AC thread for over a year. My 86 GL has a slow leak at the compressor front seal and needs about a 1 and 1/2 LBs of freon every spring.

Last month, I recovered the freon, put it under vacumn, and put in about 42oz of Freeze-12 with about an oz of oil instead of 50.75oz of freon.

We have had a few days of temps that hit a 102 (El Paso) and last week I was in northern MO when it was in the 90s every day.

So far the Freeze 12 has worked as well (maybe better) than the freon.

Freeze-12 may not be the best option for everyone, but I was able to convert my system with a straight drop in replacement for less money than a freon recharge. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
