Subject: headlight cover fit?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I just installed a set of clear plastic headlight covers (Acrylisteel AS 2117 for the 87 to 91 Vernon) that I bought from one of the list vendors. I was told before I bought them that the fit would be snug and that they snap on over my rectangular headlights.

But what I find is that they are not very snug at all... after installing I find that they slide easily from left to right, are quite flexible to the point that they bend to contact the headlight with little pressure, and I can easily wedge just my little finger between the covers and the headlight to pop the covers off...

My concern is that these covers may vibrate with the wind and cause noise... of just blow off in a gust of wind... or easily be stolen...

So my question is: Does anyone have any experience with these clear plastic headlight covers???

Thanks,

Bill Davidson 90 Westy Syncro
