Well, finally it's time to do this. #1 '82 air-cooled Westy, that light creamy yellow color (whatever it's called), reupholstered recently, strong and reliable (I have no hesitation about just getting in and going, anywhere), no problems but of course some annoyances, about 30K on engine, have docs from past few years only. Oil, filter, screen just done. Good tires, good body. Screen in poptop needs to be sewn in properly, may get to it myself. Oh, gas heater, too. #2 '82 air-cooled Westy, coffee and cream color, good original upholstery, strong and reliable like the other one. I have almost all the docs on this one, as it was purchased new by a guy who later sold it to his brother, who I bought it from. Oil, filter, screen just done. Tires OK for summer, but should be replaced by winter. Body good. Canvas all good. Needs something done with the peeling plastic inside on the panels, but it's not really bad. Either of these could be pretty easily made into a real showpiece, as there aren't any big deal problems. Suitable for daily driving or cross country. Located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Selling because: I need a truck (non VW) and don't want to wreck the Westys using them for what I need. Prices: $5500, either one. I'd love to sell both at once! Oh, pictures...well, I haven't taken them yet, but will this week, and I'll send JPGs to anyone interested. Thanks Byard |
