These are also typically available as OEM equipment from refrigeration and HVAC systems supply places, such as Johnstone Supply (nationwide; check local listings or the 1-800 directory). Look for "temperature rated" or "therm-o-disc" snap disc thermostats. Be sure to match the type, size and rating of the original, for proper operation. Those interested in experimenting may want to try one of the adjustable models. These typically can be adjusted over a 40F range or so, with a fixed differential (difference between opening and closing temps) of approximately 20F.
