Folks,

If someone is seriously interested in this van, read this first. I drove and checked out the van when it was for sale by a previous owner, and you should be aware of a few things. Foremost is that the van was not a true Westfalia factory conversion, but one assembled from bits and pieces of earlier Westys (that's why this 1987 has a brown and tan rear interior, but blue front seats and door panels). The conversion was done OK, but far from perfect. It also has spnet some time near the bay, and has some serious rust in the left rocker seam area, unless it has been patched. No diff lock either. IMO, it's not worth the $5000 starting bid, I saw it in unburned condition, and ran from it at $6000. But it may be what someone is looking for. It did drive nice at that time, and appeared to have accurate mileage. So, beware, and good luck.
